Microsoft has a number of revenue streams—Azure, Windows OEM licenses for PCs and servers, Office 365 licenses, and Power Bi—amongst other items that are more consumer-focused. Given that consumers and corporations are expected to take advantage of bundling options, MSFT revenue streams are expected to suffer to start with, but they should become even more sustainable over time. Given the change in consumers’ spending patterns, the company has decided to engage with an internal restructuring, thereby rationalizing about 2600 jobs. The fundamental business of the company is extremely solid and is generating substantial cashflows.
