BHP's Olympic Dam mine in Australia is one of the largest uranium deposits in the world. While copper is the primary resource mined at Olympic Dam, the deposit also hosts uranium, gold and silver.

Currently, BHP is looking for new opportunities to add additional mining facilities. One area of interest for the company is Oak Dam in South Australia, at which high-grade copper, gold, silver and uranium mineralization has been identified.
